Fox Studios have recently released a statement in which they have confirmed that Adam Lambert will be the part of their next project, the remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The Eighth American Idol Runner-up, Adam Lambert is attached with Fox since childhood. He has previously shown his skills on Glee and different music projects.
Lambert will play the role of Eddie, originally played by Meat Loaf, the former delivery guy who rides his motorcycle and sings “Hot Patootie” “Bless My Soul”
Initially Fox was considering Lambert to play the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter role, originated by Tim Curry in the movie back in 1975, but now Laverne Cox who has appeared on Orange Is The New Black has bagged the role.
Lambert was enthusiastic about the role he stated â€œI grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky Horror always make me feel like it was OK to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, Bless my Soul! I love that old-time rock-n-roll!â€
Lambert is named as the highest-earning idol alum of 2015, and most of his earning came while serving as Queenâ€™s Front-Man for their recent World Tour.
Along with Lambert, the cast includes Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Victoria Justice as Janet, Ryan McCarter as Brad and Reeve Carney as Riff Raff.
