According to Forbes, The 25 year-old actress netted $52 million pretax between June 2014 and June 2015, which is almost twice as much as the second highest-paid nominee, The Revenant star Leonardo DiCaprio, who stands with $29 million. The Martian, Matt Damon is third on the list with his earnings reaching almost $25 million during the one year period.
According to reports, Hunger Games trilogy and Dior played a very important role in making her the highest paid actress of the year.
JLaw is nominated for the best actress Oscar for her sensational role in David O. Russelâ€™s comedy drama film Joy. She will compete against Charlotte Rampling (45 years), Cate Blanchett (Carol), Brie Larson (Room) and Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn).
Forbes list was released on Wednesday, few months after JLaw smashed the Hollywood Producers and Directors for paying female stars less than men. And now few months later she has become the highest paid actress of the year 2015.
