When we go to the show to see movies. It is because we are moved by certain movies. Sometimes, it is because, a friend or family member does tell us how great a movie was or how they enjoyed it. Other times, it is mainly about us, and the fact that we just want to see a movie that touches us especially in some way and is very hard to describe. Movies are awesome. This is the one thing that can never be disputed. They have been around for a very long time and they only get better with time. However, there are some special movies, which are exceptions to the rule and that stand out on their merit for their own reasons. These movies are what is classified as true greats. These true greats are classics, just because, and this just because is because they command us to see them and love them. What are the top ten movies of all time? Read on to learn more. It is the story of two imprisoned men who have bonded together over the years and who find comfort and redemption through their acts of common decency.
  1. Schindler’s List – filmed in 1993 and the winner of seven Oscars – This movie is a classic and does star Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Kingsley, and Caroline Goodall. The story centers around Oskar Schindler, who does become extremely concerned about his Jewish workers during World War II in Poland. This concern comes from his witnessing the Nazis persecution of them.

This movie does star Robert De Niro, Cathy Moriarty, Joe Pesci, and Frank Vincent. It tells the story about a very emotionally distraught and self-destructive boxer’s journey through life.
  1. Casablanca – filmed in 1942 and the winner of three Oscars – This movie is a classic in its own special way. This movie stars legendary actor Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman. Paul Henreid, and Claude Rains. It tells the story of an American expatriate who does meet a former lover and that does bring about unforeseen complications.
  1. One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest – filmed in 1975 and the winner of five Oscars – This movie is a movie that personifies classic in every sense of the word. It stars Jack Nicholson, Louise Fletcher, Michael Berryman, and Peter Brocco. This story is about a rebel inmate, who is admitted to a mental institution, where he incites other patients along with himself to go up against an oppressive head nurse.
  1. Gone With The Wind – filmed in 1939 and the winner of eight Oscars – This movie is the quintessential romantic film of all time and with just cause. It is about fiery southern belle Scarlett O’Hara and the love she has for a blockade runner during the American Civil War.
  1. Citizen Kane – filmed in 1941 and the winner of one Oscar – This movie was every inch the finest of all dramas in its own way. It stars Orson Welles, Joseph Cotton, Dorothy Comingore, and Agnes Moorehead. It tells the story of a news reporter who is trying to unravel the meaning of a publishing tycoon’s final words before his death.
  1. The Wizard of Oz – filmed in 1939 and the winner of two Oscars – This movie is forever magical and will stay that way for its own wonderful and timeless qualities. It stars Judy Garland, Ray Bolger, Frank Morgan, and Bert Lahr. It tells the story about a magical place called Oz and the character of Dorothy Gale who is from Kansas and is swept up into this very magical land by a tornado.
  1. Titanic – filmed in 1997 and the winner of eleven Oscars – This movie is a romantic classic, as well as, a dramatic one in delivery. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Billy Zane, and Kathy Bates. It tells the unfortunate but awesome love story about a rich girl and a poor guy on board the ill-fated Titanic ship.
